# My First Turtle with Tags
Last weekend, I helped my little sister, Lila, set up a Mi Primera Tortuga con etiquetas terrarium for her first pet: a red-eared slider named Tilly. We started by sticking colorful tags to the glass—each with a handwritten rule to keep Tilly happy.
The first tag, neon green, read “UV Light: 10–12 Hours Daily” (we learned turtles need sunlight to stay healthy). A blue tag by the water bowl said “Water Temp: 75–80°F” (we used a small heater to keep it steady). Tilly seems to approve too; she spends hours sunning on her rock, as if she knows the tags are there to keep her safe.
